Alexander Ruppel and Yuri Seliverstov discuss prospects for further cooperation between Krasnodar Region and Belarus

The region's Deputy Governor and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Russia met in Krasnodar.

«For over 20 years, the Krasnodar Region and Belarus have been working closely together in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural spheres under the existing cooperation agreement. It has become a solid foundation for cooperation in manufacturing, the establishment of joint ventures, housing and utilities infrastructure, tourism, and the humanitarian sphere,» said Alexander Ruppel.

According to the Deputy Governor, Belarus consistently ranks among Krasnodar Region's top five trading partners. Products fr om the Krasnodar Region are in demand among the Belarusian public: according to 2025 figures, exports increased by almost 14% compared with 2024.

«The Krasnodar Region has traditionally been one of our most important trade and economic partners among Russian regions. Not only do we supply virtually our entire range of vehicles  - from fire engines to apron buses - but we are also developing industrial cooperation through several large-scale projects. We are in constant contact with our colleagues, looking for new growth areas wh ere we can support each other further, for example, within projects relevant to the region, such as housing and utilities infrastructure, water treatment, and water purification,» said Yuri Seliverstov.
