Krasnodar Region–China Trade Turnover Rose 57% in 2025

During the Russia–China EXPO, Krasnodar Region's delegation met with leading companies in the thermal equipment manufacturing, logistics, and trade sectors to discuss potential areas of cooperation.

«In 2025, the trade turnover between the Krasnodar Region and the People's Republic of China increased by 57% compared with 2024. The region exports sunflower and rapeseed oils, peas, frozen offal, beet pulp, oats, and much more to China. There is significant potential for knowledge exchange and cooperation with Chinese companies. We had the opportunity to discuss with a logistics company our experience in building cross-border supply chains, establishing transport and logistics hubs, and forming joint ventures. We are ready to work together on creating a Chinese-Russian logistics corridor along the Krasnodar Region–Heilongjiang Province route,» said Alexander Ruppel.

As part of the meeting, the delegation visited Heilongjiang Transportation Investment Group, a company founded by the Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Government. The company is both a logistics operator and a systems integrator for trade. It handles a wide range of responsibilities, including transport coordination and the management of integrated foreign trade service zones.

Alexander Ruppel also met with representatives of Harbin Electric Corporation, one of China's three largest state-owned companies specialising in the manufacture of equipment for thermal, nuclear, and hydroelectric power stations, as well as gas turbine equipment.

Prior to the meetings with the companies, the delegation from the Krasnodar Region laid flowers at the monument to Soviet soldiers in Harbin.
